The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster shown here was delivered in May 1961, according to the Mercedes-Benz data card, in fire engine red (DB534) with a black leather interior (210) and a hardtop.
This makes the 300 SL Roadster one of fewer than 500 vehicles (out of 1,858 produced) that were factory-equipped with disc brakes, making it all the more desirable for collectors.
The current owner acquired this exceptional Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster in 2011. The delivery also includes a red hardtop and a two-piece luggage set.
The chassis number, body number, engine number, transmission number, both front axle numbers, and the rear axle number are all “matching” and correspond to the original factory specifications. All five wheels were manufactured in the same year as the vehicle, as indicated by their stampings.
