Offered for sale is an exceptionally beautiful and perfectly restored BMW 507. The car has been part of our client circle for 40 years.
Twenty-four years ago, we brokered the sale of the car from a client in France to its current owner in Germany. Between 2012 and 2019, the car underwent an extensive and meticulous ground-up restoration by our BMW 507 specialist in Germany. The restoration is comprehensively documented in a valuation report prepared by Dipl.-Ing. Klaus Kukuk.
As part of the restoration, the aluminium body was separated from the chassis and floor assembly. This is a highly demanding and complex process that is often omitted during restorations.
For many visitors and motoring journalists, the BMW 507 was the star of the 37th International Motor Show in Frankfurt. In September 1955, BMW celebrated the premiere of its new BMW 507 Touring Sports Car. The breathtakingly elegant design by Albrecht Graf Goertz captivated enthusiasts from the moment it was unveiled and continues to fascinate automobile lovers around the world to this day.
With only 252 examples produced, the BMW 507 is now one of the great automotive rarities. Its distinguished owners included Alain Delon, John Surtees, Ursula Andress, Toni Sailer and Elvis Presley.
