2004 Porsche 996 GT3 RS

19.Jun 2026

The Porsche 996 GT3 RS marked the return of the legendary RS designation to the water-cooled 911 generation and is today regarded as one of the most significant GT models in modern Porsche history. Developed as the ultimate road-going expression of Porsche’s motorsport programme, it combines uncompromising lightweight engineering, race-derived technology, and a driving experience that remains exceptionally pure and unfiltered even by contemporary standards.

Compared to the already focused GT3, the RS was sharpened further through a series of weight-saving measures. A carbon fibre bonnet, carbon fibre rear engine lid, polycarbonate rear window, and numerous additional lightweight components reduced overall mass and enhanced agility and precision. Its motorsport-derived 3.6-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine, producing 381 horsepower, remains one of the most charismatic powerplants ever fitted to a road-going Porsche 911.

The example presented here was delivered new in 2004 to its first and only registered owner in Essen, Germany. Finished in the iconic colour combination of Carrara White with Blue RS livery, it represents the specification that has become synonymous with the 996 GT3 RS and remains instantly recognisable to enthusiasts worldwide.

From new, the car has remained in the hands of this single registered owner, resulting in an exceptionally transparent and fully traceable history. With just 7,861 kilometres from new, this GT3 RS ranks among the lowest-mileage examples known to exist. Equally remarkable is the fact that, according to the available records, the car has never been used on a race circuit — an extraordinary circumstance for a model originally developed with track-focused performance at its core.

The complete ownership and service history documents the meticulous care the vehicle has received throughout its life. The car remains in its original paintwork, is accident-free, and retains a level of originality rarely encountered today.

Further enhancing its desirability is the presence of the factory-optioned Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB)system, a rarely specified and highly sought-after option that perfectly complements the car’s exceptional specification.

The accompanying documentation is equally impressive. In addition to the original order form, the file includes the original order confirmation, original sales invoice, all service invoices, and every TÜV inspection report from new. Even the delivery photograph presented to the original owner during factory collection remains preserved within the car’s original Porsche delivery folder.

Its extraordinary state of preservation, ultra-low mileage, comprehensive documentation, single-owner history, German first delivery, and exceptional originality elevate this 996 GT3 RS into a category of its own. Comparable examples are virtually impossible to find today. A true collector-grade example and undoubtedly one of the finest 996 GT3 RS models currently in existence.
