1980 BMW M1
The BMW M1 (internal designation E26) was a super sports car from BMW with a longitudinally-mounted mid-engine and rear-wheel drive.
From autumn 1978 to the end of 1981, 460 vehicles were produced. Displacement 3.5 liters (277 hp/204 KW).
Giorgio Giugiaro was responsible for the bodydesign. In 1979 the car costed 113.000 DM and was the most expensive German car at the time.
The BMW M1 shown here was completed on September 23, 1980 in white and subsequently delivered to its first customer via the BMW dealership in Munich. The car presents itself today in a sensational original condition with an extremely low total mileage and with only minimal signs of use. Engine and gearbox are original and "numbers matching".
In summer 2013 we were looking for this car for an important European classic car collection and found it with less than 7,000 km.
We are very happy to offer this great car again today!
