1960 Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Series II Convertible
Only 200 examples of the second-series cabriolets were built, lending the model equal parts rarity and elegance. These mid-production 250 GTs offer the best of both ends of the spectrum, as their striking open coachwork envelopes more modern chassis components in a combination that today’s collectors can particularly enjoy on vintage touring events.
The Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Series II Cabriolet with chassisnumber 1991GT was delivered new in November 1960 to the Ferrari dealerhip in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California/USA.
The car was delivered ex-factory in the elegant color "Grigio Conchiglia MM 16249".
From December 1960 to 1985 the car stayed in the USA and had only a few owners. In September 1985 the car went back to Europe and found its way to the Netherlands.
From 2007 to 2009 the Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Series II Cabriolet was restored at Ferrari in the factory on behalf of a Scandinavian collector. All the work was fantastically documented by Ferrari and recorded in its own restoration book that was created for the owner of 1991GT.
After the restoration work was completed, the car was of course certified by Ferrari Classiche, accompanied by the Red Book.
Since then the car has been very well maintained by the owner, driven only very little and was always stored under best conditions.
